If you know Heather and I, you know that we are really not big into shameless self-promotion… BUT… we’re working on that. Hah! So this year, in 2012, we have decided that we are actually going to begin submitting our work for publication and competition more frequently. We’ve already ended up in magazines, wedding blogs, and all kinds of other places inadvertently… but until now we have never actually submitted a single thing on our own. Pretty weird, huh? Apparently our brides and wedding planners like us because we still got featured. However, we think that this will benefit our clients by forcing us to listen to the critiques of other well-respected members of our community, and we believe it will obviously benefit our business by giving us more exposure 
. As some Detroit’s favorite wedding photographers, we are also excited for the opportunity to share some of the city’s beauty with the rest of the world in a way that’s untarnished by the news media.
We’re excited to announce that the first image of 2012 we submitted was selected for 3rd place in the Midwest Photo Exchange’s contest entitled, Celebration! Yippee! We’re proud to have been selected out of many entries. Here’s the image:
